Hans Mundahl at EMA and I were on the phone recently and the topic of mailing lists came up. Hans’ sense was that many folks were intrigued by how mail could serve their outreach efforts, but weren’t sure where the rubber meets the road in their use or effectiveness.
So - I created the top three ways to use purchased mailing lists. (Naturally, there are more reasons, but hopefully this gets you started).

But there is no denying that understanding demographic trend projections is among the most useful.

As the "heat" of first round admissions is about to settle in many places around the country, this is a key time to prepare to send surveys to families who accept your offer of enrollment, those who decline your offer, and, depending on how deep you want to go, those who dropped out at various other "funnel" points.
